Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Columbia

This was the best overall hotel experience I’ve had! The staff were all friendly and helpful! The breakfast selection was fantastic and looked beautiful! The manager genuinely cared about the guests and was very personable. I will make it a point to stop at this hotel again the next time I’m driving across the country!

Great breakfast with bacon, regular eggs, and even oat milk. Friendly welcoming staff. We had 2 queen bed room. There were 2 different areas, couch area with TV and bedroom area with TV. We also received a goodie bag with our check in. Nice place to stay for a night stay.

This was the cheapest Marriott Bonvoy-earning room in Columbia and being short of requalifying for elite status, I chose this hotel when we overnighted here to see a comedy show. This unassuming property shares a dead-end cul-de-sac with a Hooters and a sister Residence Inn and is very close to a Burger King, gas station/mini mart, Taco Bell, Golden Corral, and White Castle. The nearly empty parking lot at 8PM generated a little concern (followed by the sign on one elevator stating that it was out of service due to low occupancy). Truthfully though, the place was nice inside, had cool Mizzou decorations, and it felt safe inside and out. The great: The breakfast spread was amazing for a budget hotel. I don’t know if this is every day or just Saturdays, but they had scrambled eggs, thick tasty bacon, hash browns, nice pastries, a breakfast burrito making station with shredded cheese and salsas. This was better than some M Lounge breakfasts I’ve had in big cities! The good: Our room, 329, came with a fridge and microwave, tons of Mizzou wall decorations, and a nice shower and spacious, clean bathroom. The not so good: The room smelled musty and had peeling/bubbling wallpaper throughout. There were mystery holes in the walls and seriously worn/scratched furniture. There were insufficient USB chargers in room. It just felt like a motel. A Motel 6 maybe. Overall, a great value and a good breakfast. Staff were friendly, including the maintenance man we met in the lobby.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!! I read the reviews after making my reservation and immediately had concerns. But as an avid Marriott visitor on decided to give them a chance. Upon arrival Sammy did a great job explaining the changes they've made in the last 30 days. The new management and staff make a difference. The property is clean and the amenities are on point. Sure, it's an older property and it is due for upgrades. However this property is on the right track. Any review over 30 days it's not a fair representation of what they are achieving today

Great value, the front desk staff, Jeri and George, were absolutely phenomenal, very professional, very helpful, very upbeat and displayed a very caring attitude, ensuring everything was taken care of, they definitely need to be recognized as they are the best, the hotel is going to do a update but the rooms were very clean, just dated a bit, will definitely stay again if in the area,

Not sure why so many bad reviews, I travel a lot and this hotel was perfectly fine, especially for the cost . It was clean, the lobby area was nice and the free breakfast was better than most . The staff was also super friendly. So whatever the new management is doing , keep it up !

We stopped here on a road trip and had a wonderful stay. Check in and check out was so easy and service was incredibly friendly from start to finish. There are some renovations happening but it didn’t bother us and did not impact our stay at all, plus the GM was very considerate and gave all the guests goodie bags with treats, sleeping masks, and ear plugs in case of any noise. All amenities were accessible. Overall a quiet stay with delicious breakfast and wonderful, friendly service all around. Great place to stop on a road trip - we hope to come here again!

Great experience. Overall above expectations. Management asked me for feedback as I left, which boosts my score for them.I'll break it down. Location: A bit off the path. Still withi. A minute of the interstate and around lots of food options, as well as a QT. It's not very visible from the road and sits behind a forested ditch with lots of foliage. It looks nice but it is a bit secluded for safety concerns. Services: They got just about everything right. They also had a good extensive breakfast. Some of the eggs did have an odd color to them, so Ia avoided them. Management did ask me how everything was upfront, so I let them know. I was happy they asked for feedback. Rooms: Clean and well maintained. Everything worked, good bed linens. No issues Overall a great option in Columbia. Would return.
